It is with profound sadness that the family of Germano announces his sudden passing on January 10, 2018 at the age of 83 years.
Germano will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 56 years, Anna; and their children, Fausto (Carla), Diana (Mauro) Coco and Daniela (Rob) Fiacco; as well as his eight devoted grandchildren, Steven, Lara, Erica, Giorgia, Alyssa, Simona, Alexandra and Michaela. He will also be missed by his siblings in Italy, Piero, Maria, Livia and Elio; together with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernesto and Agnese; and brother, Gaetano.
Germano was born in Valdagno, Vicenza Italy on December 20, 1934. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 while the rest of his family remained in Italy. Germano worked as a painter and his work ethic was second to none. He loved to spend time in his garden and was an excellent wine maker. He understood the importance and benefits of an education and greatly encouraged all of his children to attend university. Most of all, this kind and gentle man loved his family and he was happiest during family gatherings sitting at the head of the table, quietly beaming with pride at the devoted and united family he had created together with his wife. His lonely journey to Canada in 1956 had worked out quite well indeed. We will miss him terribly.
