It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our family’s patriarch, Pietro Pazienza on Friday, June 22, 2018, at the age of 96 years.
Peter will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, loyalty, humour and devotion to his family. He loved his garden and sharing its bounty with his many family and friends.
Peter is survived by his daughter, Anna (Giulio) Altobelli; six grandchildren, Elsa (Giuseppe) Bruno, Emilio (Sandra) Marocco, Gianni Altobelli, Giselda (John) Arbelaez, Peter (Paola) Altobelli and David (Giustina) Altobelli; thirteen great-grandchildren, Rosa (Aaron), Giovanni (Elizabeth), Christian, Alexander, Matteo, Alexandra, Ryan, Michela, Andrew, Julian, Marissa, Anthony and Luca; one great-great-grandson, Antonio; four sisters, Finalba (Paulo) Monaco, Ermelinda Olivieri, Roberta (Ivan) Fabris and Iolanda Marocco; sister-in-law, Lina Pazienza; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Predeceased by his loving wife, Anita Pazienza (1995); daughter, Giselda Marocco (1969); son-in-law, Giovanni Marocco (1970); parents, Anna and Massimo; brother, Enrico; and three sisters, Amelia, Assunta and Lituvina.
Prayer Service Tuesday, June 26 at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 27 at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend George Puramadathil CFIC officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
