Obituary for Jeanne G. Eliuk

Print
A little lady with a big personality has left this world.
Left to mourn and honour her are her daughter, Donna (Don) Brown; and sons, Alex (Marie) Eliuk and Larry Eliuk. Also left are her grandchildren, Kevin and Chandra Letun; and three great grandchildren. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Al in 1969.
Jeanne and Al were in the coffee shop/restaurant/hotel business in the 1950’s and 1960’s. They owned and operated many neighbourhood Al’s coffee shops, as well as the Golden Gate Restaurant in Meadowlark Park Shopping Centre. Their last business was as shareholders in the Cromdale Hotel in the late 1960’s.
Interment has taken place during a private family ceremony, with Reverend Father Cornell Zubritsky officiating. A Celebration of Jeanne’s Life will be held in the spring.
A special thanks to the staff at Rutherford Heights Retirement Residence for their compassionate care of the lady they affectionately called “Mama-Lou”.
