The decision of choosing cremation is based on a various number of aspects including: cultural, religious or spiritual beliefs, finances, ecological awareness, etc. Once the decision for cremation has been made, we require the legal authorization and signature of the individual who is in charge of making funeral arrangements. Once all authorization papers are signed, we apply to the Medical Examiner's Office and Vital Statistics for documents that are required before cremating.
After cremation occurs, you must also decide what will happen to your loved one's cremated remains. If you wish to keep them close by, you can choose from our various types of urns, ornaments, and personalized memorial keepsakes.
It is also wise to consider who will care for the cremated remains long term and generation to generation if you choose to keep your urn at home. If you choose to scatter* your loved one's cremated remains, we offer a variety of scattering tube designs to make this process easier. We can also assist with choosing an urn vault and planning procedures should you choose to inurn your loved one's cremated remains in the cemetery or in a niche in a columbarium.
*Please note that each province has its own laws governing the scattering of cremated remains. Click
